UPgrading my PC’s RAM
stormbreaker
I’m about to upgrade my existing desktop PC at home. At present, I’m running a Black XP edition in my PC and it performs very smoothly especially for an average user. However, I think I need to add more RAM, 1 gigabyte at least, to my box as I will be doing some memory-intensive applications like video editing and conversion. Adding Computer RAM will be my main agenda tomorrow when I buy two new desktop for our office. I’m sure that an increased performance will be noticeable when I do the upgrade and Add IMAC Memory to my AMD-powered machine.
Actually, I will not only doing a RAM upgrade in my machine at home, but also to two other different desktops we have in the office. My main problem is that those PCs are using DDR PC2700 Memory and I find a hard time looking for stores that sell those RAM. Most of the computer stores now are selling DDR2 memory and if so happen they have stocks of DDR1 memory modules, they are a little bit pricey as the law of demand and supply takes over. I just hope to get some when I go to the PC haven in Gilmore. Can’t wait for that dreaded upgrade!
