Connecting PCs at Home

stormbreaker

I have networked our two workstations at home, the first one is my old unit, a PC powered by AMD Duron, and the other one is a 2 month-old dual core workstation powered also by AMD. I find it very useful since my two other siblings don’t have to fight over on who is gonna be next to use the PC (when we still have just one). This is how useful an Ethernet hub is. Prices of these types of Ethernet hubs decreased dramatically, and there are even ways of getting a free hub in the various sites in the Internet. However, even if I’m already using a wired router at home, I dream of using a broadband wireless hub like in broadband uk since I have plans of expanding my home network. Wireless connection is one of my concerns as I am thinking of getting a laptop of my own in the coming months. Even at work, most of our faculty members are connecting to the Net wirelessly using their laptops, and I myself want to join the bandwagon.
